Thanks for sharing Mike. My favorites are the ones showing the rock formations in the Badlands. I’ve got to go there someday.

I'm jealous

I definitely want to see Yellowstone again. I was 7 the last time, and most of Yellowstone was on fire. I believe we went in the east side and were forced to exit the west side instead of the south side. That extended our vacation a little. I still remember seeing lots of cool stuff, and I was kind of in awe of the big fire. I remember seeing a moose, and I also distinctly remember a road with lots of single car pull outs over a cliff, where my dad liked to stop quickly and scare the crap out of my mom. And we were in a 2 door Blazer… ah, memories.

Not anymore actually.

We had to give up the plate when we traded in the Audi. The new car is leased, so according to Virginia law you can’t get a personalized plate.

Bah.

Ryan’s license plate says ALWYS RYT.
(or something like that, I forget the exact “spelling.”

Maybe you should invest in the WI version of that plate. :)

Oh Ryan… I can give you a run for your money with the “always right” stuff.

I’m so often right that my EX-boyfriend will STILL admit to anyone how it’s creepy that I’m always right….

I’ll fund the project if you’d like to knit me a nice wool, preferably Cashmere, scarf.

Oh, and Erin… your penchant for fuzzy clothing comes from living in cold climates most of your life. Kind of like people with an iron deficiency have cravings for red meat.

When I was in college, my friends and I used to go to this corner tavern “The Black Forest” which had an atmosphere not unlike the Essen Haus. The only songs on the jukebox were German polkas. Some of our friends (who favored the hip and trendy bars) thought we were nuts, but imported beers were cheaper than the hip and trendy place, and the owner (a German immigrant) was a cool guy.

Welcome to the knitting illuminati. Can you see me tapping my steepled fingers together and grinning?

I hope you get to like knitting as much as I do. It will be nice to have a crazy knitting friend. You’re so lucky to live so close to a nice yarn shop.

murph is right about knitting coming back in. I learned two years ago, and since then I have seen many many college students knitting. It seems to be “in” right now.

I’ve always been one of those people who buys clothes by feel (is it fuzzy? it’s mine!). My addiction to soft fuzzy stuff is well suited to knitting (and cats… someday).

…if there is a yarn-themed Illuminati secretly taking over the world.

Two years ago, I wouldn’t have known two people who knitted.
Now, my wife does, most of my co-workers do – and now, YOU!

They’re all around us!

Soylent yarn is people!!!

but from what I’ve heard it takes longer to potty train the little boys than it does little girls.

Congrats to all the Bloys on the success of the poops for pizza campaign!

I actually think most kids just decide to do it by themselves. Any sense that the parents “train” the kid is an illusion. Poops for pizza is very innovative, though. Maybe the mouse pizza place should consider that for a new ad campaign!
