Not anymore actually.

We had to give up the plate when we traded in the Audi. The new car is leased, so according to Virginia law you can’t get a personalized plate.

Bah.

Oh, and Erin… your penchant for fuzzy clothing comes from living in cold climates most of your life. Kind of like people with an iron deficiency have cravings for red meat.

Welcome to the knitting illuminati. Can you see me tapping my steepled fingers together and grinning?

I hope you get to like knitting as much as I do. It will be nice to have a crazy knitting friend. You’re so lucky to live so close to a nice yarn shop.

murph is right about knitting coming back in. I learned two years ago, and since then I have seen many many college students knitting. It seems to be “in” right now.

I’ve always been one of those people who buys clothes by feel (is it fuzzy? it’s mine!). My addiction to soft fuzzy stuff is well suited to knitting (and cats… someday).

I'm beginning to wonder...

Busy Weekend - Saturday

Saturday was an incredibly busy and fun day.

We saw the trains at Olbrich Gardens, the giant festive pine tree in the Capitol building. and we bought a Christmas tree. Yes, we’re tree killers. We know. I can’t quite bring myself to buy a fake tree yet, though.

After our full day out, we came home and had the Rupperts over for a delicious dinner of Picasso’s pizza. Then Erin showed me how to knit. I was doing OK for a beginner until Sunday morning when I completely forgot how to do half of what she taught me. Fortunately, she was able to point me to a great link and talk me through some of the bits I’d forgotten. Yay!
